Install the Xcode command line tools

Git, clang, make… without installing all of Xcode.

1. Start the installation:

   xcode-select --install

   Copy
2. Accept the window that opens and wait for the download to finish.
3. Check the path:

   xcode-select -p

   Copy
4. Update via software updates:

   softwareupdate --list

   Copy
5. If there is a problem after a major update, reinstall:

   sudo rm -rf /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools
   xcode-select --install
