Set up Git and an SSH key
Ready to clone and publish code in a few minutes.
- Identify yourself to Git:
git config --global user.name "Votre Nom" git config --global user.email "vous@exemple.fr"
- Create a modern key:
ssh-keygen -t ed25519 -C "vous@exemple.fr"
- Add it to the agent and the keychain:
eval "$(ssh-agent -s)" ssh-add --apple-use-keychain ~/.ssh/id_ed25519
- Copy the public key to paste it into your Git host's settings:
pbcopy < ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub
- Test the connection:
ssh -T git@github.com
