Generate a battery health report

Measure the real wear of a laptop battery.

1. In a terminal, generate the report:

   powercfg /batteryreport

   Copy
2. Open the HTML file shown in the output.
3. Compare "Design capacity" (original capacity) and "Full charge capacity" (current capacity).
4. For a 60-second energy diagnostic:

   powercfg /energy

   Copy
5. Below 70 to 80 % of the original capacity, battery life becomes noticeably shorter.
